Ian Newman joined Capsicum Re in October 2014. He leads the Global Cyber Reinsurance practice and is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and delivering effective reinsurance solutions to our clients. He is also regularly invited to speak at Cyber conferences and panel events. Ian was part of the Execution Re team that completed an MBO in December 2012, in conjunction with Arthur J. Gallagher helping to create its treaty platform AJG Re. Prior to Execution Re, he spent ten years in the US wholesale team at Guy Carpenter. Since establishing Capsicum Re in the Cyber space, Ian’s team prides themselves for being at the forefront of innovation. With the further recent developments within the ACS (Alternative Cyber Solutions), Analytics and Consulting teams Gallagher Re is able to offer an unrivalled breadth of services to the Cyber market.
