Paul Butcher

Paul Butcher joined Gallagher in 2020 as Managing Director leading the Global Property & US Casualty facultative platforms, following 5 years as Partner at reinsurance start-up broker Capsicum Re. Bringing more than 35 years of overall industry experience in Management, production, and placement of complex facultative reinsurance programs across global markets.

Prior to Capsicum Re, Paul served as Managing Director (London) and Head of Facultative Property, Power, and Terrorism atGuy Carpenter, leading the facultative business emanating from global geographies, including North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, the Caribbean.

He also held senior leadership positions at JLT Re, establishing the global facultative platform, and Aon, following earlier career experience as an international placing broker focused on Latin American facultative property business at Heath Feilding International.
