Pierre Guntzberger

Pierre Guntzberger is Managing Director, Western Europe, Facultative at Gallagher Re, where he leads the facultative reinsurance business across the region, helping clients develop tailored risk transfer solutions for complex and evolving exposures.

With more than 20 years of experience in the facultative reinsurance market, Pierre has built an extensive track record advising insurers and brokers across Europe. Prior to joining Gallagher Re, he spent over 17 years at Miller Insurance Services, where he held a number of senior leadership positions, including Head of Global Facultative, Head of Miller Europe, Manager of Europe Facultative Reinsurance, and head of the firm's Paris facultative operation.

Throughout his career, Pierre has led international teams across London, Paris, and Brussels, driving business growth, developing facultative strategies, and strengthening client relationships across key European markets. He has extensive experience in property and specialty facultative reinsurance and is recognized for his ability to structure innovative solutions for complex and difficult-to-place risks.

Before Miller, Pierre held facultative broking roles at Aon and Willis, where he focused on property facultative placements throughout Europe. His deep technical expertise, broad market relationships, and leadership experience make him a trusted advisor to insurers seeking strategic reinsurance solutions in an increasingly dynamic risk environment.
