Earthquake in Ecuador

A massive 7.8 earthquake struck the cost of Ecuador on Saturday, April 16 causing significant damage, including more than 7,000 injured and 570 deaths. Cemeteries in Ecuador’s coastal city have reportedly reached maximum capacity and authorities are working to prevent a health crisis. Getting supplies and rescue crews to the survivors in the affected areas have been challenging because of the damages to the highways, along with heavy rain due to El Niño.
