As a result Yesterday, November 22, 2016, a federal court judge in Texas issued an injunction temporarily blocking the proposed update to the U.S Department of Labor’s new federal overtime rule.
The update to the Fair Labor Standards Act and overtime eligibility will not take effect as planned December 1st, but it could still be implemented down the road.
