Active Shooter incidents are often unpredictable and can evolve quickly. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, 80% of active shooter situations occur in the workplace, occurring once a week on average; and the Department of Justice reports that the average organization is 18 times more likely to experience a workplace violence incident than a fire.
This 2 part webinar series is designed to help you prepare and respond appropriately in an active shooter situation. Specifically, recognizing the presence of an active threat, the best course of action to take to recover after an incident, and developing a plan to protect your organization and your employees.

Paul Bassett is the Managing Director of Gallagher's Crisis Management team, based in London. He heads up activities with regard to risk transfer and risk management solutions for terrorism, kidnap & ransom, Crisis Resilience and Crisis Consulting. Prior to joining Gallagher, Paul worked in the insurance industry in various positions for 17 years, most recently as the Global CEO for Aon Crisis Management. Before working in risk management, Paul had a ten year career as an officer in the British Army, where he specialized in bomb disposal and high risk search and was awarded the Military Cross in 1994.
Paul is considered to be one of the leading global experts in crisis management. He has been a prominent innovator and thought leader of Crisis Management over the past 15 years and has been a speaker at many high profile events.
Bob Perlman leads Gallagher’s North America Enterprise Resilience team. He has over 28 years of experience in all aspects of risk consulting including Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Enterprise Risk Management and Supply Chain Risk Management.
Bob has developed programs for a variety of profit and non-profit organizations in virtually every industry vertical; including many Fortune 500 companies. Bob founded Continuum Solutions that was acquired by Gallagher in 2016. Prior to Continuum, Bob was the Practice Leader for Booz Allen Hamilton’s Commercial Resilience business. Before Booz Allen Hamilton, Bob was a Managing Director at Marsh Risk Consulting. He has published a number of articles on Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management and speaks frequently on various risk topics.
