Bob Clement started his career in the Employee Benefits industry in 1985 as a producer for CIGNA Healthcare. He later worked as a producer for Lockton Benefits Company, prior to joining the Gallagher Benefit Services Kansas City office in 2001.
Bob served as Area President for the Kansas City office from 2001-2014, his primary job duties involved acting as Branch Manager. As Area Senior Vice President, Bob is responsible for generating new business as well as managing the team of his existing account. Bob’s experience and abilities to advise his clients in areas of plan design, funding, report analysis, carrier negotiations and conflict resolution are appreciated by the clients that he consults with on a daily basis.
His prior experience on the carrier side of the business allows Bob to create and suggest business plans that are reasonable and effective for vendors as well as clients. He is committed to a high level of client service and under his leadership, the Consultants and Account Managers in Kansas City continue to grow by producing new business and by retaining existing long term clients as well. The experience that Bob brings to the table helps to solidify his partnership with his valuable clients, and make him a true asset to them. Bob was the National Practice Leader for the Transportation Niche as well as the Hospitality and Restaurant Niche business for GBS from 2002 - 2012. In this capacity, he was a key contributor to identifying specific industry needs and appropriate solutions built around Gallagher resources and capabilities.
Bob is a graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in Accounting. He has completed the Health Insurance Associate coursework, has held various board positions, and is an active member of Kansas City’s Employee Benefits Professional Association.
