AVIVA, the UK’s largest insurer, have a Financial Rating of “A” applied by A.M. Best Company, a global full-service credit rating agency dedicated to serving the insurance industry.
In recent years a number of insurers who didn’t have a Financial Rating went into administration, this means claims were not paid and new policies have to be purchased.
There are other insurers who have recently withdrawn from the care sector. There are also insurers who provide non-standard cover which can provide a short term saving but long-term issues on moving insurer and ensuring continuous cover.
