IOSH Safety for Executives & Directors courses
The IOSH-approved Safety for Executives & Directors course is designed for individuals who hold senior positions such as business owners or Directors within any business sector.
The course lasts one day. Starting at approximately 10:00am and aiming to finish by 3:30pm. The course is based on the occupational health and safety standards which are found in the Health and Safety Executive guidance and the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act of 2007.

Andrew Couch BSc(Hons) CMIOSH AIEMA
With a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Andrew has been continuously involved with the health and safety profession for over 25 years. He has a very wide range of experience across numerous industries including Engineering; Plastics; Woodworking; Food; Retailing and Distribution.
He previously worked as a Health and Safety Adviser in the NHS and in a Fire Safety role for a major wholesale and retail business. An experienced trainer for a range of technical courses, with particular interest in health and safety management.
Andrew Simmonds CMIOSH MIIRSM ABCI AIEMA
Andrew started his career in Health & Safety through manufacturing, working in engineering and the automotive sectors.
The past 17 years have seen Andrew working in Health & Safety consultancy, delivering a high level of risk services to many sectors: including care, charity, construction, manufacturing; warehousing and logistics; events; agriculture and forestry; and leisure for a wide range of organisations from SMEs to multi-site companies.
Andrew is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (CMIOSH) and is also accredited by IOSH to deliver their training courses.
Andrew is a skilled communicator at all levels of personnel within companies; at Senior Director level, Middle Management and operational personnel.
Andrew is passionate and focussed on ensuring that risk is effectively managed by providing sound advice, guidance and leadership, using his extensive skills, experience and knowledge of Health & Safety and soft skills.
Angela Burman GradIOSH Dip CII SPdipEM AIEMA MIIRSM
Angela is an experienced professional with over 25 years in the Insurance Industry, with the last 15 years specialising in Risk Management, working with clients of all sizes and in all business sectors. She is based in North Nottinghamshire / South Yorkshire but routinely travels to sites in many parts of the UK providing professional advice and guidance in the development and review of Risk Management Strategies, operational plans, policies and procedures.
Angela is a highly effective and capable trainer, who has the necessary skills to provide interesting, interactive training courses, be it to members of the board or workers on the shop floor, in the office or worksite. As an approved UKATA trainer, she regularly provides asbestos awareness training particularly to the contracting trades.
Angela is a Graduate member of the Institute of Safety and Health and holds a Diploma in Insurance awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute, as well as a specialist Diploma in Environmental Management. Specialisms include the Construction Industry, with Angela holding a NEBOSH Construction Diploma.
