London,

Prin has been invited to join the Insurance Broking Faculty Group within the CII’s programme, which aims to identify future leaders in claims, underwriting, broking and the London market.

With Gallagher’s keen focus on investing in, supporting and developing industry talent, we’re delighted see Prin Thayaparan — Project Director, National Broking & Placement successfully secure a place on the hotly contested New Generation Programme 2018/2019, managed by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Prin has been invited to join the Insurance Broking Faculty Group within the CII’s programme, which aims to identify future leaders in claims, underwriting, broking and the London market. Ten rising stars from each of these areas have been selected to benefit from increased exposure to market issues and the opportunity to make their mark on their chosen profession.

The initiative is designed to complement existing company talent programmes and the year-long curriculum will provide group members with a range of learning opportunities, including:

  • An interactive session with key personnel from the FCA
  • Talks from Members of Parliament and lobbying organisations in the insurance sector, and a tour of the Houses of Parliament
  • Training on subjects such as leadership and handling the media

Mark Armitage, Managing Director of National Broking & Placement, said: “The New Generation Programme is a prestigious talent programme and fantastic, external recognition for Prin.  It is also a great honour to be picked out as one of 40 possible future leaders by the CII and be part of an elite group of professionals, who have a track-record of influencing change for the good of the customer and the public.”

Since joining Gallagher in 2015, Prin has supported a number of initiatives from the Going for Growth campaign, developing and launching the Placement Pipeline Executive Tool, to managing the Product Development process for products including Cyber and D&O. In addition to his daily responsibilities, he is an active member of the MI Steer Co., the Gallagher Inclusion & Diversity Steer Co., and the Brexit Working Group.
