Whether I need to get into a bath with snakes, walk through fire, jump out of a plane sky diving or support the events for Special Olympics, I will always give it go. And yes, I have done all of this in the name of charity!

It is with this mantra that I hope to lead others to always think outside the box, and give it a go, demonstrate your grit and be entrepreneurial.

Our sponsorship of The Special Olympics really does highlight the incredible work that Special Olympics does and you witness and speak to the amazing athletes. it really gives you an understanding of the power of sport and community. Gallagher supports Special Olympics to deliver the highest quality coaching and sport experience to more than 7,500 athletes in Australia. 'Sports participation is a powerful force. It can shift the focus from disability to ability, from isolation to involvement.'

Gallagher Joins Women of Storm

Gail's professional growth has been phenomenal and she is known as a SME within the disability sector, someone who is called upon to contribute to disability initiatives and advise Government in Insurance. Gail is the lead for our National Disability Services (NDS) client relationship and has successfully been reappointed as the endorsed Broker for the Association. With over 30 years Insurance experience Gail is a trusted advisor for NDIS and was recently rewarded an outstanding achievement award at our international conference. Gail and her colleagues at Gallagher, both male and female, shared their thoughts on equality for International Women's Day in March. It was heart-warming for me to hear so many connect it to our Culture.

We also made a conscious decision to be better in engaging our First Nations Communities and through the work we have done on our Reconciliation Action Plan, we continue to broaden our conversation, knowledge and understanding of racial and social injustice in Australia. We will continue to support these efforts and help guide our organisation to ensure we are equitable, diverse and inclusive as a growing organisation with a very large footprint across Australia.
