Why Gallagher

Gallagher is committed to providing a welcoming and rewarding environment for our people.

Our goal is to create a business with a very contemporary dynamic. We are values based and success driven, and want to attract ambitious and entrepreneurial people from all across Australia and abroad.

If that doesn't sound like a traditional broking office to you, that's good — we aim to be different!

We know from our people that admire an organisation that treats them with respect and supports their career development is an important aspect of working here.

Doing things one way. The right way. The Gallagher Way.

As proud as we are of our growth, we're more proud that we've been able to maintain Gallagher's unique culture as we move into new markets and new lines. It's a culture of ethics and service. One of collaboration in a common interest — the best interest of every client, everywhere. And it's summed up in the 25 shared values we call the The Gallagher Way.

Corporate Social Responsibility

At Gallagher, we like to give back to our community. We recognise the importance of the communities in which we operate in and have select partnerships to help focus our efforts and these are based around:

Inclusion & Diversity

We're committed to ensuring Gallagher has an inclusive workplace for the benefit of our people, clients, and the communities in which we live and work.

Inclusion and diversity (I&D) is a core part of our business, and it's embedded into the fabric of our organisation. Our high standards of ethical behavior are grounded in our corporate culture's cornerstone, The Gallagher Way. We see inclusion as a conscious commitment and diversity as a vital strength. By embracing diversity in all its forms, we live out The Gallagher Way to its fullest.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan outlines our commitment to building and strengthening our connection with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of this country.

At Gallagher, we like to give back to our community. We recognise the importance of the communities in which we operate in and have select partnerships to help focus our efforts.

One of our proud community partnerships is with JDRF, the leading type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, advocacy and community programs organisation globally.

Volunteering is an initiative that is big part of our CSR and employees are provided 1 days' paid leave to do volunteering of choice. Their connections, engagement and ability to give back within their own community is a big part of our Your Cause campaign at Gallagher.

Environment & Sustainability

We believe that sustainability is critical to business success and we think that in order to truly be a sustainable organisation we need to do the right thing by not just our business, but also our people, our communities and our environment.

Preserving the environment is more than moral imperative; it's sound business strategy. We take environmental impact into account in both our major purchase decisions and everyday operations. We actively seek to do the right thing by our environment and reduce our environmental footprint.
