The winners of the 2025 Gallagher Premiership Rugby Awards were announced last night with Gloucester Rugby’s Tomos Williams revealed as the Gallagher Player of the Season.

Tomos Williams named winner of Gallagher Player of the Season

The annual ceremony celebrates excellence across all areas of rugby and culminates in the Gallagher Player of the Season award which recognises best-in-class talent and contributions made throughout the Premiership Rugby season.

Nick Harris, who is the CEO of Gallagher’s broking business which supports companies across the UK and Ireland presented the award and said: “Huge congratulations to Tomos Williams on being named Gallagher Player of the Season – this is a fantastic achievement in his debut season with Gloucester. He has played brilliantly throughout the season and has shown great sportsmanship on the pitch. Tomos’ performance during this season has contributed to the success of Gloucester Rugby and he’s proven to be a huge asset to the club.

“This is Gallagher’s seventh year as title partner of Premiership Rugby and we’re delighted to celebrate the best in the game. We are looking forward to many more seasons and continuing to support rugby at grassroots level so that we can help grow the game and its fan base.”

  • England Men's Player of the Season, presented by Advanta Wealth: Tommy Freeman (Northampton Saints)
  • England Women's Player of the Season, presented by LexisNexis Risk Solutions: Zoe Aldcroft (Gloucester-Hartpury)
  • Vodafone Business RPA Gainline Award: Jake Woolmore (Bristol Bears), Harry Thacker (Bristol Bears), Josh Caulfield (Bristol Bears), Josh Bassett (Leicester Tigers) & Harry Glover (GB 7s)
