Sarah Lyons is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gallagher Specialty, a division of the global broker dedicated to managing complex risks for large businesses. Headquartered in London, Gallagher Specialty operates from 15 countries worldwide, providing tailored solutions to meet the individual risk and insurance needs of clients.
Sarah has over 30 years' experience in insurance and her journey with Gallagher started in 2014 when the company acquired OAMPS, where Sarah was Head of Commercial Broking. Sarah held several senior leadership positions within Gallagher's Australian operations, including Chief Operating Officer and CEO of Australia. In 2023, her responsibilities expanded to include the Asia region, reflecting Gallagher's strategic growth within the Asia-Pacific market.
In July 2025, Sarah moved to her current role as CEO of Gallagher Specialty, where she leads 1,300 + colleagues managing risk programmes on behalf of many of the world's largest organisations.
Alongside her broad corporate experience gained from her range of C-suite roles, Sarah has expertise in sales, marketing, risk, M&A and claims. Sarah has received a number of industry accolades from Insurance Business, being regularly named on its Hotlist, Elite Women in Insurance and also been in the Global 100 of influential insurance professionals numerous times over.
