Kelly Barns' professional qualifications include more than 17 years of public sector human resources and risk management experience.
Starting in human resources and risk management administration and rising into management and leadership, Kelly brings a wealth of experience in talent acquisition, labor relations, classification and compensation, policy and contract development. Further her experience includes performance management, employee engagement, leaves, ADA administration and management, training and development, workplace investigations, health and safety, workers' compensation, employee benefits, as well as liability administration and management. She has a passion for engaging, collaborating with, and supporting clients, strengthening employee relations and community partnerships.
Kelly earned a degree in Business Administration and Management from Humboldt State University. She holds certifications of Human Resources Certified Professional through International Public Management Association of Human Resources (IPMA-CP) and Senior Professional Human Resources Certificate (SPHR).
Kelly came to Gallagher from Koff & Associates, a full-spectrum human resources and recruiting services firm serving the public sector. K&A joined Gallagher in 2021.
