Combining global experience with a client-first mindset
Josh Heron has built his career across two of the world's most dynamic insurance markets. After working with clients throughout Australia before spending several years in London's wholesale insurance market, Josh joined Gallagher's Queensland Corporate team with a broad perspective on helping organisations manage increasingly complex risks.
His experience spans industries including mining, life sciences, retail, timber and local government, giving him exposure to a diverse range of businesses and insurance challenges. "Working in both Australia and London taught me that while every client is different, the best outcomes always come from understanding what success looks like for them," Josh says.
It's one of the reasons Gallagher appealed to him. "Gallagher has all the capability you'd expect from a global broker, but what really stood out was the emphasis on relationships and genuinely understanding clients' businesses."
Josh believes the insurance profession is changing rapidly, with data, analytics and technology creating new opportunities to help organisations make better-informed decisions. "Technology is becoming increasingly important, but it doesn't replace relationships. The best advice still comes from combining great people with great insights."
Having recently joined Gallagher, Josh is looking forward to continuing to build long-term partnerships with clients throughout Queensland. "It's an exciting time to be part of Gallagher. The business has great momentum, and I'm looking forward to helping clients navigate change and achieve their objectives with confidence."
