Gallagher today announced the appointment of Adam Stafford as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its Specialty division.
Adam will join the business in September this year and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations with a strong focus on technology, digital innovation and strategic development as the business continues to expand. He will report to Sarah Lyons, CEO of Gallagher Specialty and become part of Gallagher's operations leadership team, under the direction of UK & EMEA COO, Charles Crawford.
Adam brings over 25 years of London Market experience to the role, having spent the last decade as COO of UK & International for BMS, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the company from a niche reinsurance broker into a global specialty platform. Adam's experience encompasses broking, underwriting platforms and market infrastructure and includes transformation, operational scaling and building infrastructure for high-growth businesses.
Before BMS, Adam worked at Lloyd's of London, where he drove market reform, spearheaded technology initiatives and led operational change. He started his career at AON.
