Gallagher, the global insurance broking and risk management company, today welcomes Laura Repko as Senior Director, Capital Solutions, into its global multidisciplinary Private Equity and M&A practice (PEMA). Laura's appointment underscores Gallagher's commitment to delivering innovative and tailored financial solutions for lenders and borrowers involved in complex transactional situations and its continued investment in the broader M&A and capital advisory space.
In this newly created role, Laura will be based out of London and focus on providing bespoke solutions across a range of lending scenarios to support the flow of finance, including credit enhancement, compliance with banking and accounting regulations, working capital financing, and capital event situations. Working closely with Gallagher's M&A Transactional Risk team and Real Estate Advisory team, Laura will ensure clients benefit from a fully integrated approach to their financial and strategic needs across a broad range of transactions.
With expertise in originating, structuring, and executing financial transactions across Europe, and a deep understanding of transactional lifecycle for lenders and borrowers, Laura brings over 15 years' corporate finance experience. She joins from HSBC where she held the position of Investment Director, Direct Lending, and has worked extensively with private equity firms during her time at Deutsche Bank, Beechbrook Capital and Permira Credit.
Steve Jones, CEO of Private Equity and M&A solutions in the UK, said: "Laura's appointment is a significant step forward for our PEMA division. Her expertise in delivering innovative capital solutions will enhance our ability to support clients in bridging any gaps in expectation between lenders and borrowers, ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional value to all stakeholders in any transaction.
"By focusing on understanding the financial dynamics driving deals and tailoring insurance-backed solutions to meet the unique needs of lenders and borrowers, Laura will enable clients to optimise their capital structures and alleviate any points of friction."
Laura Repko added: "This is an exciting time to be joining Gallagher, with its focus on building real breadth and depth of advisory and broking expertise to the benefit of lenders and borrowers. Private capital continues to be a huge driver of transformative growth around the world, and I'm looking forward to working with my new colleagues to maximise deal-value creation for clients, every time, across a wide range of lending scenarios."
