The RDS today announced Gallagher, a leading global financial business and one of Ireland's largest insurance broking and risk management firms, as the new title partner of the Dublin Horse Show providing significant benefit to the show over the three-year agreement period. The Gallagher Dublin Horse Show takes place on 5 to 9 August at the RDS, Dublin.
The partnership marks a significant moment for one of the most prestigious fixtures on the international show jumping calendar and will further strengthen the global reputation of the Gallagher Dublin Horse Show as a cornerstone of Irish sporting and cultural life. Renowned for its heritage and world-class competition, the Gallagher Dublin Horse Show is defined by the precision, athleticism and unique partnership between horse and rider, and remains one of the few global sporting arenas where men and women compete equally at the highest level.
The agreement represents a substantial investment by Gallagher in Ireland and one of the country's most prestigious equestrian events. Since launching in Ireland in 2022, Gallagher has expanded significantly and now operates from 12 locations and looks after the insurance needs of over 300,000 Irish businesses and consumers. Gallagher was founded in 1927 in Chicago, USA and today operates in more than 130 countries and is known for its investment in sport from grassroots to elite level, including rugby, NFL, major league baseball, motorsport, football, basketball and women's sport. The Gallagher family which set up the business originate from Limerick and now employ over 71,000 people worldwide, under the leadership of CEO and Chairman, Pat Gallagher, grandson of the original founder.
This August, the Gallagher Dublin Horse Show will welcome over 100,000 visitors to the RDS, as a highlight of Ireland's sporting and social summer calendar. Alongside elite international competition, visitors can enjoy a lively programme of entertainment, dining, shopping and social occasions, as well as premium corporate hospitality, attracting audiences from across Ireland and abroad. Those planning their visit can also benefit from added value, with 10% off tickets when booked online, and free entry for children under 4.
The new title partner announcement comes in a landmark year, with the 100th running of the Nations Cup, where teams compete for the Aga Khan Trophy, set to be a highlight of the 2026 programme — one of the most iconic and anticipated competitions in global show jumping. This year also sees continued investment across the RDS campus, including the new Laya Arena, further enhancing its ability to host world-class sport and international events.
The partnership creates a strong platform to continue growing the Gallagher Dublin Horse Show — enhancing the experience for visitors, competitors and corporate guests, while expanding its global reach. It also reinforces the RDS's position not only as a premier Irish venue, but as a destination of choice for international events.
Paul Kelly, chief executive, RDS, said: "We are delighted to welcome Gallagher as title partner of our fantastic event, the Gallagher Dublin Horse Show.
