Mark Rowlinson
Head of IT (Platforms)
Mark Rowlinson is the Head of IT (Platforms) for Gallagher's UK Benefits & HR Consulting division (GBS). As Head of IT (Platforms), Mark is responsible for leading the division's platform strategy, overseeing the development and delivery of technology solutions that support business growth, operational effectiveness and enhanced experiences for colleagues and clients. He also plays a key role in advancing the responsible adoption and consistent use of artificial intelligence across the business.
A qualified actuary, with more than 20 years' experience in the pensions industry, Mark combines actuarial, consulting and technology leadership expertise. He works closely with teams across the business to drive innovation, enhance technology platforms and ensure technology capabilities support both current operational needs and future strategic ambitions.
Mark joined GBS in December 2025 as part of Gallagher's acquisition of First Actuarial. As a member of the First Actuarial Management Board, he played a key role in the firm's growth, leading the modernisation of systems and processes and establishing its internal software development function.
