Gallagher contacted a large food manufacturing client to discuss their overall risk management program. During the discussion, we learned that the company was experiencing issues with their current carrier and the management of their claims. Gallagher did a full analysis of their risk management program with special attention paid to mitigating claims.
Using our Core360™ model, we evaluated the six cost driver of the client's risk management program, working to minimize their total cost of risk.
With our deep expertise in the Food & Agriculture industry and our approach to managing a customer's total cost of risk, we made these improvements:
- Saved the client 20% on their premium by consolidating coverages and switching to a carrier that specialized in the food and agribusiness industry.
- Restructured the program from six to four carriers and consolidated $100M commercial umbrella insurance, while saving money on the premium.
- Added $1M of coverage for exposed areas — environmental and product recall insurance — at no additional cost.
- Managed the client’s claims and provided loss control services to further improve their program and provide future savings.
