  • Buildings cover up to £1 million, unless a different amount is shown on your schedule
  • Contents cover up to £100,000, unless a different amount is shown on your schedule
  • Personal belonging away from the home, the excess as stated in your schedule would not be covered.
  • Accidental damage cover to personal computers and TVs, however damage caused by wear and tear would not be covered.
  • Freezer contents cover up to £1,000, however food beyond the date it can be safely eaten would not be covered
  • Alternative accommodation up to £40,000 on buildings and up to £10,000 on contents is an emergency

Our buildings insurance covers structural damage to property and permanent fixtures and fittings caused by events such as fire, flood, storm damage, subsidence, and impact (such as a vehicle crashing into the property). It also covers theft of any physical part of the building. Having buildings insurance in place may help ensure you could meet the rebuild costs of the property should the worst happen. Contents insurance covers your furniture, possessions and valuables in the event of loss, damage or theft. Items can be covered whether they are in your home, if they are with you or worn by you outside of the home. Items worn outside of the home would need to be added as an optional extra. We also include accidental damage cover and freezer contents cover in our classic contents insurance policy.
