We offer specialist business insurance for holiday parks and residential parks, helping park owners protect their facilities, business operations and reputation.

One of the principal challenges you may face as a park operator is protecting yourself and your facilities from financial or reputational damage. Whether you operate a holiday park (with caravans, chalets, lodges, glamping, touring or camping) or a residential mobile home park, it is important to obtain business insurance that is suitable for your park and your customers.

Gallagher proudly helps protect over 1,000 holiday and residential parks across the UK and Northern Ireland. Our clients range from some of the largest groups in the UK to well-established family-run businesses. With extensive experience and knowledge gained from working closely with the park industry, we have developed specialist policy wordings designed for holiday and residential parks.

Partnering with an insurance broker that specialises in your industry can help you find appropriate cover at an acceptable premium, as well as assistance with your overall risk management programme. We have outlined the available covers below, which we can arrange for your business.

Buildings

As well as your park's buildings, cover can extend to cover the parks infrastructure including concrete bases, driveways, car parks, swimming pools, artificial playing surfaces, walls, gates and fences, signs, blinds and underground services. If you insure your underground services, the policy extends to cover the costs of tracing leaks, plus the cost of accessing them, including any necessary excavation, and making good the damage caused as a result, up to a maximum of £25,000 in on any one claim. Accidental damage cover is included as standard.

Contents

Covers the contents of the commercial buildings, including park machines, machinery, plant, and all other contents normally associated with the business, belonging to you or for which you are responsible. Cover for park machines extends to cover the machinery whilst being used on the Park.

Contents cover also extends to cover freezer contents (deterioration of stock) and loss of money.

Accidental damage cover is included as standard.

Business Interruption

Business interruption insurance provides cover for the financial loss suffered by the business caused by interruption or interference to the business by any event covered under the buildings and or the contents section of the policy.

This can include cover for death, injury of the park owner or any key members of staff.

Liabilities

Legal liability in respect of injury (including death or illness) to any third party and employees and damage to property not belonging to you, caused in the course of the business anywhere in the United Kingdom including the Channel Islands and The Isle of Man.

In addition to the above our policy provides indemnity for:

  • £1,000,000 in respect of corporate manslaughter defence costs.
  • damage to your customer’s caravans and park homes whilst in your custody and control.

Loss of Licence

Provides cover for the depreciation in value if your licence is forfeited or revoked by the licencing authority and you are unable to sell excisable liquors.

Personal Accident

Provides a lump sum payable (three levels of cover) if an insured person sustains accidental bodily injury resulting in death, disablement or permanent disability, within 104 weeks from the date of the accident.

For temporary total disablement a weekly amount will be payable for a period of 104 weeks.
