JDRF is a non-profit organisation that is dedicated to funding research to find cures and improve lives for type 1 diabetes (T1D). With over 130,000 Australians currently living with the condition, and 8 new cases diagnosed every day, the work done by JDRF is more important than ever.

In addition to its work in Australia, JDRF also operates globally. It is the world's leading supporter of T1D research, advocacy and community programs. It is all about improving lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.

Together, we want to see a world without T1D

  • Advocacy — Through representation of the challenges facing the T1D community, JDRF, alongside its advocates, has changed how governments view type 1 diabetes and has delivered nearly $500m in new investment in T1D in 10 years.
  • Community — A community driven organisation founded to support Australians living with type 1 diabetes, JDRF provide resources for every age and stage of type 1 diabetes.
  • Fundraising — People and companies provide JDRF with significant support, whether it is leaving a bequest or participating in events like One Walk. These funds are crucial for supporting research.
