With feedback from 667 healthcare organizations spread across the US, we found that workforce burnout and fierce staffing competition in a post-pandemic world are the leading concerns driving organizations to consider a benefits refresh. While top challenges such as attraction and retention, cost containment and engagement continue to be consistent year to year, it 's imperative to think differently about supporting comprehensive wellbeing.

For most of the healthcare industry, transformation will require an active commitment to innovation and include a strategy that can enhance organizational stability. Because the need to keep staff engaged and motivated in spite of high levels of stress and burnout is rooted in the wellbeing of individual employees, it has prompted many to take a renewed look at their benefits to consider how to build a more holistic approach to employee wellbeing.
