The Gallagher Difference: A Case Study

The Issue

A 12,000 + employee organization with a global footprint was looking to cut underwriting costs. Gallagher was tasked with implementing a single global benefits financing underwriting solution in the local markets, while using the savings to enhance in-country benefits for all employees around the globe. The goal was to provide a global underwriting program that extended rate guarantees, improved terms and conditions and enhanced governance.

The Solution

Leveraging the experience Gallagher's international consultants, we reviewed the in-country insured benefit plans, identified trends and proposed a solution that would best suit the client's goals at each local program renewal. In addition, through our partnerships with the Gallagher Global Network (GGN) brokers, the Gallagher multinational team differentiated themselves by working to identify ways to expedite the global underwriting solution.

The Result

The client reported $1.5 million in savings upon implementation within a matter of months across all identified markets. In addition, the program provider referred to the Gallagher execution as "the fastest and most effective solution that they have implemented to date."
