Lois Bergerson

Lois Bergerson is a Senior Consultant with the Compensation and Rewards service line of Gallagher's Human Resources and Compensation Consulting practice.

Ms. Bergerson works with health care organizations to provide compensation consulting services, including executive total compensation analyses and quantitative and qualitative analysis of executive benefits

Ms. Bergerson is responsible for the quantitative analysis of physician and executive benefits that provide insight on expenditure competitive standards in the healthcare industry. Her work with individual organizations includes cost analysis of benefits and any enhancement recommendations to adhere to the organizations stated total compensation philosophy and ultimately assure the reasonableness of total compensation.

Specializing in the design and analysis of supplemental executive retirement plans to aid in the retention of an organization's most senior executives, as well as provide competitive and reasonable retirement benefits, Ms. Bergerson consults with Boards and Compensation Committees. She advises regarding structure, legislative compliance, cost analysis, and funding options.

Ms. Bergerson has worked with a wide variety of organizations, including not-for-profit hospitals and health care systems, integrated delivery systems, children's hospitals, clinics, and health care associations.

Ms. Bergerson brings over 30 years of health care experience. Prior to her years at Gallagher, she worked for 8 years as an Actuarial Analyst for a life and health insurance company. She has extensive experience in the structure, rating, loss projection, and reserve analysis for major medical, dental, disability income, long-term care, and Medicare supplement product lines.

Ms. Bergerson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, with a B.A. in mathematics.
