Nica Syers is a Principal Consultant with the Compensation and Rewards service line of Gallagher's Human Resources & Compensation Consulting practice. Ms. Syers works with health care organizations providing compensation consulting services, including total compensation analyses, executive and physician benefit plan design, governance compliance audits, and formal reasonableness opinions.
She works with boards and compensation committees to help them remain compliant with regulatory requirements and to establish best practices with respect to governance. Ms. Syers specializes in consulting with clients to determine whether their benefit plans are compliant with the laws and regulations governing not-for-profit organizations. She has assisted clients with numerous supplemental retirement and retention plans.
Ms. Syers has been with Gallagher for more than 15 years. Prior to becoming a consultant, she spent two years administering supplemental benefit plans for both physicians and executives by working directly with client contacts and participants to provide administrative and support services.
Ms. Syers has worked with a wide variety of organizations, including some of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems, integrated delivery systems, academic medical centers, children's hospitals, specialty organizations (organ/tissue/blood), stand-alone hospitals, clinics, and health care associations.
Ms. Syers received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and public communications in 1992 from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
