Susan Tang

Susan is a Vice President and Pay Equity Lead for Gallagher. Throughout her 25+ years of experience in the human resources consulting industry, Susan has developed a strong focus on compensation framework design and Pay Equity legislations compliance. She is a seasoned practitioner with significant experience across sectors helping organizations achieve business strategies through people development and fundamental human resource practices and compensation programs. Prior to joining Gallagher, Susan held analytical and consulting roles with two large global human capital consultancy firms.

Susan's extensive knowledge of both job evaluation methodology and Pay Equity legislations have positioned her as a subject matter expert and allowed her the opportunity to create and deliver training to clients and project teams. In addition to training, Susan has both represented and provided support to clients with respect to Job Evaluation Committees.

During her career, Susan has led and performed many compensation projects — from the development to the delivery of job evaluation projects for purposes of meeting legislative requirements in both the private and the public sectors. Her extensive knowledge and expertise includes a strong foundation of analytical, research and technical skill, which have supported total compensation design projects for a wide variety of clients in a broad range of industries, including financial services, public sector, healthcare, manufacturing and consumer products — in both unionized and non-unionized environments.

Susan holds an honors bachelor of science in Actuarial Science and Statistics from the University of Western Ontario. She also has her Certified Compensation Professional designation and is a member of the WorldatWork Association.

Susan regularly speaks at various conferences and association events, and authors articles and advisory bulletins on pay equity and legislative compliance (in the area of Human Resources and Compensation). Recently Susan served on a volunteer board with the National Kidney Foundation of Canada as Chair of Compensation Advisory Committee.
