THOUGHT LEADERSHIP – COMING FROM OUR RELIGIOUS PRACTICE
Gallagher’s Religious Practice is a thought leader and conveyor of collaboration. Toward that objective, we have partnered with the sector in facilitating the global Common Ground annual program. This is a meeting of the leaders of international, national and regional denomination-based, church-owned property and casualty insurance companies.
We invite leaders of national and regional programs serving the faith-based community who manage captives, trusts, risk retention groups, master policy programs and risk pooling groups.
What is the Purpose?
The program was established to allow the faith-based community to share, learn and collaborate on issues they are facing. We at Gallagher are fortunate to help lead this event, while at the same time build on our knowledge of risk management, risk financing and program strategies as well as to network and deepen relationships across the broader faith-based community.
Who Organizes It?
This event was co-created by Michael Downs (who was the CEO of the United Church Insurance Board at that time and is now the CEO of the Pension Board of UCC) - and Peter Persuitti, Managing Director of the Religious Practice at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. As we identify a faith-tradition and program to host each year, we include that person as a member of our “planning team,” so Tim Harris; CEO of the United Church of Christ program (www.insuranceboard.org) will join our planning team

When your organization is in need, who do you turn to?
People turn to you when they are in need, but who do you turn to when facing challenges that impact your ministry as a religious organization?
Threats to religious freedom, increased operating costs, inconsistent revenue streams, an aging workforce with diverse benefit needs and relentless scrutiny from the public, the media and your Board can make it difficult to pursue your mission and ministry. When you have a partner who shares your values, then your goals are within reach.
The Gallagher Religious Practice is focused on organizations like yours. For decades, Gallagher has been serving the needs of churches, dioceses and other religious organizations as consultant, insurance broker, agent, loss control specialist and claims advocate. We can help your organization by working closely with you to understand your ministry and the barriers you face to achieving your goals. We can build sustainable solutions so you can move your ministry forward.
Let the Gallagher team help you manage your risk, attract great employees with well-structured benefit programs and run your operations more efficiently so you can continue doing great work.
