Gallagher today announces six senior appointments in its global aerospace team, as the firm continues to invest in talent and expand its capabilities.
Airospace Appointments

The new joiners will be based in London and New York. Appointments to Gallagher’s aerospace team in New York include Matt Donohue, who joined on 18 February and Thomas Klaus, who will be starting on 24 February, both as senior vice presidents.

Bringing over 15 years’ industry experience, Matt Donohue joins Gallagher from Aon, where he worked for the past ten years as a vice president in its aerospace division. Prior to this, Matt was an account manager in Willis’s aerospace division, and was previously a broker at Marshall & Sterling. In 2019, he was recognised as Power Broker - Aviation by Risk & Insurance magazine.

Thomas Klaus joins Gallagher from Willis, where he was vice president and general aviation practice leader since 2013. He has over 15 years’ experience in both broking and underwriting, having started his career at Travelers Insurance in 2004 before joining Crystal and Company in 2009 as a senior account executive.

New additions to Gallagher’s aerospace team in London, joining at partner level, are account executives Graham Herbert and Paul Wrenn, who are due to start in April. Andrew Gardener, will be joining the business in July as account manager, and Peter Jury will be joining in February as operations and control manager, following the completion of contractual notice periods.

Bringing over 30 years’ experience in broking and underwriting, Graham Herbert will be focusing on new business development. He joins the team from Allianz, where he was a senior underwriter in its airline team. Graham started his career in 1990 at the Lloyds Policy Signing Office, and also held the position of vice president at Marsh in its aviation broking division, where he worked for 18 years.

Paul Wrenn joins the dedicated manufacturers and infrastructure team within Gallagher’s aerospace practice from Allianz, most recently holding the position of senior underwriter in its products and airports team. With wide experience in the aviation sector, Paul started his career at BAE systems on a graduate aerospace engineering programme in 2000, followed by industry research analyst positions at IATA and Willis.

With over 24 years’ experience in the client advisory space, Andrew Gardener joins the team with a specific focus on advising clients on contractual matters. Andrew joins from the aviation division of Marsh, where he was senior vice president in its client advisory team, having begun his career at Sedgwick in 1996.

Peter Jury joins the team from Marsh, where he was most recently head of financial reporting. With over 20 years’ financial management and accounting experience, Peter previously held roles at HSBC and Kreston Reeves, where he began his career in 2000.
