As many UK businesses continue working amid the pandemic, or are focusing on reopening their doors, employers are under a duty of care to ensure safe working conditions for their staff, and businesses will be doing all they can to meet this obligation. Failing to take reasonable measures to safeguard employees, such as staff being required to work in close quarters or with insufficient protection, could result in an Employers’ Liability (EL) claim being made.
