Hosted by Paul Latham, Public Sector and Education, Gallagher our engaging and thought-provoking session will feature Jim Dale, founder of the British Weather Service and Ola Raji from FloodFlash.
Jim will cover how our changing climate is likely to affect our environment in the future, as well as considering the wider impact this will have on society. Jim qualified as a meteorological observer at the Royal Navy’s School of Meteorology & Oceanography, and served as a meteorologist in the Fleet Air Arm during the early to mid-1980′s, including two spells in and around the Falklands and South Georgia.
Following a short spell as a marine and media meteorologist company in London, Jim formed British Weather Services in September 1987. He now offers his deep knowledge and vast global experience to weather sensitive companies, on a 1 to 1 consultative basis, globally.
Floodflash is an innovative new solution for flood risk management, and Ola will outline how this is helping organisations across the UK. Ola has enjoyed over seven years working in the London Market Insurance Sector on UK Retail, Terrorism and Onshore Energy.
Since joining FloodFlash, Ola has formed a key part of the team responsible for bringing their award-winning flood insurance to clients around the UK. Outside the day-to-day OIa engages with many industry bodies, most notably the Lloyd's Charity Trust of which he is a trustee.
