The two-day event will run from Thursday 21 – Friday 22 January 2021, focusing on key issues for the social housing sector including finance, the economic landscape and operating in the current environment. The online conference features a range of keynote speakers, panel debates and workshops designed to inform and support delegates in 2021 and beyond.
Martin’s session, ‘The Risk Factor for the Sector,’ will look at the impact of recent events, and how to identify and mitigate emerging risks. Martin has worked in the insurance sector since 1992 and has specialised in social housing since 1997. His time in the sector has seen significant flooding, the growth of personal injury claims and the catastrophe of Grenfell. Martin’s experience gives him particular insight into the challenges the social housing sector experiences, and how these may change in the future.
CHC represents over 70 not-for-profit housing associations and community mutuals in Wales, which currently provide more than 158,000 affordable homes for approximately 10% of the Welsh population, playing a major role in the Welsh economy.
