In his new role, Elliot is responsible for leading over 200 colleagues who look after a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from large corporate organisations through to SMEs. He will report into Peter Matthews, Managing Director of the North in Gallagher’s UK Retail division, and will be based in Glasgow.
Bringing over 35 years’ insurance experience, Elliot joins Gallagher from CNA Hardy, where he held the position of Head of UK Regions for over four years. In this role, Elliot was responsible for overseeing CNA Hardy’s UK-wide sales activities, and growing the business’s presence outside of London, including expanding its regional branch network. Prior to this, Elliot held the role of General Manager, UK & Ireland at QBE, where he was responsible for driving the growth of the business across its regional centres.
