Gallagher is pleased to invite you to the third module in our Higher Education (HE) Technical Training Series in association with AIRMIC.
Our Online Higher Education Technical Training Series

The online training will take place at 11am on Friday 11 February 2022 and will focus on Duty of Care and Mental Health Provision.

Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) now need to be aware of supporting their students and staff in managing their mental health. In respect of moral and legal duties of care and subsequent reputation, it is vital that universities can demonstrate how this is done to ensure those investing in their future can do so with confidence.

The sector has had a number of stories in the national press around how this has been a major risk issue and mishandling has had a detrimental impact.

This module will explore:

  • How mental health and wellbeing for students and staff has moved up the agenda for HEIs
  • How universities can ensure they have the relevant understanding of this and subsequent support
  • How this impacts liability insurance cover and the provision of this
  • What best practice looks like in managing the risk here

Our panel includes representatives from Gallagher, AIRMIC, Student Minds and DAC Beachcroft.

This session will last approximately an hour. Please use the link below to register for the session – you can also watch the first and second modules ‘on demand’ and register for the fourth module in the series.
