Launched in 2008, Bergvall Marine offer insurance and risk management services to clients including ship-owners, managers, offshore contractors, shipyards and finance institutions. It works with clients and insurers throughout the world and offers risk evaluation and strategic reviews through to insurance placement and claims management.

Founded in 2001, Parisco is a marine and energy broker serving contractors, offshore service vessels, exploration and production companies, shipping, passenger vessels and renewable energy clients.

The two businesses will continue to operate independently under the direction of Anders Mjaaland, Managing Director and Dag Magne Torjussen, Chief Executive Officer respectively. The two specialist firms employ circa 30 risk professionals between them.

Clients will continue to have the same day-to-day contacts, who understand their individual insurance requirements, and will benefit from the scale of Gallagher giving them access to a larger suite of insurance products and services and its expertise across 39,000 global employees.

Commenting on the rebrand, Vyvienne Wade, Chairperson of Europe, Middle East and Asia, Gallagher: “The bringing of Bergvall and Parisco under the Gallagher brand will see both teams be able to fully capitalise on the recognition of Gallagher as one of the world’s leading global brokerages. Clients can be reassured that their existing team remains in place and they will continue to receive the same high-quality service from the individuals they know and that have in-depth marine and energy insurance knowledge, expertise and service. This marks the first time the Gallagher brand has been used in Norway and is an exciting step as we continue to expand our European operations.”
