Michael Kestenbaum is a Managing Director for Gallagher's Executive Compensation consulting team. In his 25-plus-year career, he's held a variety of total rewards leadership roles within the technology and banking sectors. Stints include those for Broadcom, QLogic, Bank of the West and Silicon Valley Bank.
Michael began his career as a consultant in Towers Perrin's (now Willis Towers Watson) executive compensation consulting practice. He subsequently operated his own consulting practice for several years.
Throughout his career, Michael has focused on building, cultivating and driving high-performance rewards and recognition cultures. He offers particular expertise in executive and board compensation, broad-based compensation, fair pay, pay equity and pay gap strategy, analysis, remediation and communications, pay transparency planning, compensation governance and risk-balancing measures.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from University of California at Berkeley, and he lives and works in the San Francisco Bay area.
